CH87 Compatibility
The CH87 housing is designed for larger industrial cameras and camera assemblies. When choosing the right configuration, it is necessary to consider the dimensions of the camera, lens, cabling, type of front cap, housing length, and any additional elements of the optical assembly.

Not sure about compatibility?
Send us the camera and lens model, technical drawing, or 3D model of the assembly. We will recommend a suitable housing configuration.

Please note: Lens locking screws When checking compatibility, always consider the maximum lens width, including locking screws. In some cases, the standard supplied screws can be replaced with headless screws, also known as grub screws.
2
Front cap
The choice of front cap affects the diameter of the front window and its suitability for a specific application.
more durable option HK9L glass 83 mm + red cap
A more durable solution suitable for most common applications.
larger window diameter PMMA 87 mm front cap
Suitable for cameras with a wider field of view thanks to the larger window diameter, or for facilities where the use of glass is not permitted.
Please note: PMMA PMMA is less resistant to scratching and high temperatures than glass.
Please note: Wavelength Consider the required camera wavelengths. IR, SWIR, and other cameras operating outside the visible spectrum may require a different type of glass, such as germanium.
Please note: Focal length To minimize the risk of image cropping, we recommend positioning the camera assembly as close as possible to the front window of the housing, or choosing a housing with a larger window diameter.
3
Housing length
The housing length consists of a front section for the lens and a rear section for the camera and cabling.
F
Front body
The front part of the housing intended for the lens.
B
Back body
The rear part of the housing intended for the camera and cabling.

Optional lengths
The standard body length for CH87 is F050 + B100. Other lengths are also possible — choose from commonly requested variants or enter your own length in 10 mm increments when ordering.
Please note: Cables We recommend leaving approximately 45–55 mm of free space in the rear part of the housing behind the camera for convenient and safe cable connection.
Please note: Adapters and filters When selecting a suitable housing length, also take into account filters, adapters, extension rings, or other components that may increase the overall length of the optical assembly.
4
Cable gland
Standard M32 version
As standard, we supply the CH87 housing with an M32 cable gland made of nickel-plated brass and an NBR insert for 2 cables with a diameter of 5–7 mm.
Custom solution
If needed, we can supply glands made of other materials, with different inserts, or the housing without a gland. Select the available option in the configuration or contact us.

Camera mounting kit
Included in the package
The CH87 camera mounting kit is included in the standard package.
Custom modification
If you need a modified mounting kit, select the option without the camera mounting kit and add the separate Camera mounting kit product with the required modifications to your cart.
Please note: Camera mounting In some cases, the mounting holes on the camera may not correspond to any of the standard holes on our camera mounting kit. In such a case, we will be happy to customize the mounting kit for you.
